Labradorite is a feldspar mineral renowned for its spectacular play of iridescent colors known as labradorescence. When light enters the stone and strikes twinning surfaces within, it reflects back brilliant flashes of blue, green, gold, and orange.

Fun Fact
Inuit legends say the Northern Lights were once trapped in rocks along the Labrador coast, and a warrior freed most of them with his spear — but some remained, becoming labradorite.
